Donald Trump: RepublicanDonald J. Trump, born June 14, 1946, became one of the most famous billionaire real estate personage and reality television star of The Apprentice. His father, Frederick Trump, was a real estate developer and created many middle-class apartments in different locations in New York. Donald followed in his father’s footsteps, and joined his father’s company after college. In 1971 Donald was given control of the company, and continued to build as his father did, building more apartments in the New York area. In 1973, Trump and his father were placed under investigation due to reports of racism against tenants of color. In 1975, the case was settled, and Trump was forced to teach his employees about the Fair Housing Act, which stated that a person cannot be refused to rent or buy a house based on race, religion, and sex. After this case, Trump began to expand his business into the hotels, casinos, and began to move southward in his business. In 2004, Trump began to produce and star in The Apprentice, where contestants would compete for a management job in Trump’s business. Trump has also written many books about his career.
